IMPORTANT Update re: NCC Slot Futurity
The Zone 10 Zone-O-Rama is Wesern Canada’s largest paint show and probably the largest one in Canada. A highlight of the show is the Zone 10 2 yr old Slot Futurity. Exhibitor and fan interest has been high.
The number of horses participating has been dropping and we need your entries to keep this event as a highlight.

The program will remain the same this year with the Non Pro Award and possibly the elimination draw.

Remember the deadline to nominate your yearling is December 31, 2009. No
mination forms and details are on the Zone 10 Website.

Please reply to me with your entries, intentions, comments or whatever it takes to keep a good thing going.
The number of young show horses in our Club continues to grow. This is driven by our Exhibitors participating in events such as longeline, trail in hand and 2 yr old futurities. Let’s make it our BEST year!
I await your replies.
Please go to http://www.zone10zoneorama.ca/Forms/NCC%20jackpot.html for entry forms.

Zone 10 2009 - Northern Colour Connection Zone o Rama SLOT FUTURITY

The Slot Futurity is one of the toughest classes to win at th Zone show. The owners, the Larsens of Tisdale, Saskatchewan, had alot of faith in this striking Black Overo 2 year old gelding. Chips Black Bye had to be nominated by December 31st of his yearling year to qualify. This was long before he had ever had a saddle even on his back. He certainly did not disappoint his owners or his rider, Kathy Donnelly, by winning the Slot class as well as the 2 year old Western Pleasure futurity. "Tux" is sired by Pipestone Paints, "Lucky Diamond Chip". Randy & Susan Seiller of Airdrie bred and showed Tux as a baby. The Slot class was judged on 2 goes under all 6 judges, 50% Conformation and 50% Pleasure.

The Hi Point Non Pro Rider in the Slot Class took home a Silver Supreme work saddle. Caroline Tester won this award again this year with her home bred and trained filly, "TF Splashed Over Par". A full sister to last year's non pro rider winner. They were sired by Splasheriffic. Tester Farms are not large breeders, but whater comes out of the back end of Caroline's trailer is a good one.
